Upsides : The case artwork is mostly excellent, with a few touchups of the purple paint, and some paint wear around the Start button. Translite is great, it looks perfect, but does have some bubbling if you look close (you don't normally see it). All bulbs/flashers work (all original bulbs, not LEDs, for that original retro glow, spares included). The bulbs for the eyes (both in the head and translite) have been painted with blue glass paint to look nicer. Head mechanism, art and the display are great (dim display digit is due to the camera, not the display).
Silver plunger plate has been replaced with black (the original silver is included as a spare). Coin mechanism believed to work (it did when I last tried it about a decade ago), but is the original 90's mechanism (IIRC there was a coin change around then)? Coin box is also included. Comes with: - all keys - full manual (with service diagrams etc) - spares: ball, flipper rubber, old silver plunger & plate + two bags of spare bulbs. While fully playable as-is, there are a couple of (mostly minor) issues: - playfield is mostly excellent, but does have some bubbling near the center (Wheel, and Heart ramp entrance, see pics).
I've not noticed it influence anything. Two rubber loops in the bumper area (at bumper level) should be replaced. One has already been removed, the other snapped one is still in there (so you can find the correct replacement).
Battery compartment is corroded but has been resoldered since that pic was taken, and works (a battery-less'NVRAM' upgrade would be a good investment to avoid future leaks). The two plastic ramps' entraces are broken off from ball impact, as is normal for this game. One of the ramp entrance rubbers is disintegrating. Some of the screw threads that are only in light plastic are worn out.
Only noticed this on some of the clear cosmetic pieces near the top of the head (but it doesn't affect anything). Other than that it plays fine and looks and sounds beautiful. It's subjective, but to me it has the best sounds and music of any machine I know, and I love the artwork and overall attitude and humour of it. They obviously had great fun during the voice recording sessions too, they left an outtake in with the girl laughing!
