Children's Bowling Game of Fancy Ten Pins by Spears Works Bavaria, Circa 1935

  
This rare and unique game is in excellent all original condition with it's original, highly lithographed colorful box, This seemingly little used pre-war game is completely intact and consists of ten wooden pins, all hand painted in three different color schemes; along with three different hand painted bowling balls. It is circa 1930's. The instructions are clearly spelled out on the box under the lid and seem to adhere to the rules of regular bowling (see images). Being Jewish in Nazi Germany, they left that country in 1938 and set up shop in England in a manufacturing plant that they had established years earlier.

The condition of the pins and balls are excellent and completely original; the cardboard box is in an excellent state of preservation as well, with bright crisp lithographed colors to the front showing three children playing the game. This is a wonderful addition to a toy or game collector's display seeking rare and unusual pieces to add to his or her collection. Dimensions: box: 15 1/2" long x 4 3/4" wide x 2 high.
