Williams Johnny Mnemonic pinball machine 1995 - Fully Working, Great condition. Great mid 90's Williams machine, very good playfield, with no visible wear or fade. The plastics are ok, there are one or two repairs and some strengthening washers added on the slingshot plastics, and some minor gluing, which has been covered on the lower end of the plastic ramps, have done this as the ball really flies about. There is a brand new reproduction translite fitted with all new rims and a new lifting rail on it's edges.

The cabinet has the usual Johnny Mnemonic fade and has one or two touch ups but is solid with no damp or structural issues. The dot matrix display is all good, nice and bright with no warm up issues, all rows and columns work fully. The game plays really good and fast. The rubbers have all been changed, all of the bulbs work. The game has a remote battery pack fitted so there should not be any leakage in the future. There are locks fitted, there is a photocopied manual, the machine is set to free play, I have left the original coin decals on it which I think are Irish so that it looks original. I have also PAT and leakage current tested the machine which passed ok, so you shouldn't get any nasty shocks from the metalwork! This really is a great game with lots and lots of shots to make, it's a really good game which isn't particularly easy so it keeps you coming back, the multiball is achieved by getting the ball towards a hole below the right glove, the ball is then fired up into the glove and held with an electro-magnet, and if you've hit the correct targets beforehand you can control the hand left to right and front to back to drop the ball into one of the 9 red buttons on the top right of the playfield, each button gives an individual feature whereas when 3 balls are on there multiball begins. I have stripped and serviced the glove mechanism as they tend to become noisy, this was due to the 20 plus year old solidified grease on the motor gearboxes, i have removed and cleaned this out and re-greased it with lithium grease so it should be nice and quiet for another 20 years now. I have fitted 4 brand new carbon steel pinballs which don't become magnetised as easily as normal steel pinballs and suggest the balls are replaced every year or so. The area of the driver board which creates the all important 5 volts for the MPU has been rebuilt and I have done the large mod on the back of the driver board with lots of wire links that eliminates the common cracked through plating issues or dry solder joints under the surface components such as under the elecrolytic capacitors which you can't get at, I have found this mod to be all important on WPC machines of this era and makes the machine much more reliable.

I have fitted the most up to date eproms in the machine so you have the best game program available for this game. Also there is the famous'powerdown mode' on this machine that everyone aims for, I'm not the greatest player in the street let alone the world but I have got it once, this game has a very deep ruleset so I think it will keep you coming back for more! This is one fast game, they only made 2700 of them so I wouldn't think there are too many good playable examples left that haven't been obliterated by the ball speed. If you're interested you are very welcome to come and give it a game. I also do full or partial restorations on any pinball 1977 or later, even the real odd and obscure makes, plus board repairs, some boards I can do on my rig, some I need the full machine it depends.

I don't tend to do electro-mechanical's (pre 1976) mainly due to how time consuming they are, but have done a few in the past, so feel free to ask. The pinball is quite large and heavy but the backbox can be folded, and the legs come off, so it should fit in an Escort van sized vehicle upwards, and I will help you load also.
