Without blemish - bright and vibrant colours. This is one of, if not the rarest pinballs of all time. Which for such a big name as the Rolling Stones is extraordinary. This game ranks a 1 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most often seen, 1= least common) based on census ownership records. The Rolling Stones Pinball was designed in 1980. The original planned run for this iconic pinball was to make at least 5,700 units to begin with- but due to problems with production and an inability to meet deadlines the run only ran to 700 machine being made. At one point the people in the factory even painted the cabinets all the wrong colour and they had to be taken back and repainted to the colours you see here.
The table itself was designed by Jim Patla and the artwork by the legendary Greg Freres. This pinball was the first to employ hard drop targets and rollover scoring shots. For a game made in 1980/81 it was ahead of its time. As a piece of furniture and rock n roll and rolling stones memorabillia, it takes some beating.
The artwork shows the band members Mick Jagger, Billy Wyman, Keith Richards , Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood and I think halfway up the left hand side is an image of a lady that must have been done with Jerry Hall in mind. Even inside it is excellent. None of the wires have been chopped about - they are all as when the pinball machine left the factory. There are even the paper labels that were tied to some of the wiring loom. These will only ever go up in price. We have uploaded some videos here. The item "Rolling Stones Pinball Machine Perfect" is in sale since Tuesday, February 19, 2019.
