This is a Hoopers Automatics of London early flipperless pinball machine. Its works on old pennies and I can supply a few of these to get you started. These were found in arcades of the period. This is a very rare chance to acquire some pinball history as an internet search will show you that these machine hardly ever come up for sale. This machine has been completely refurbished. This includes a new wood playfield which backs the stainless field. This was replaced due to woodworm. There are a couple of woodworm holes in the base board but the worm infestation is long since dead.

All mechanics have been removed cleaned, polished and lubricated and a new return spring fitted to the skill score dial. A new cash door and lock was also fitted as this was previously missing. It comes with 2 keys. This machine was originally operated via a 12v battery.

For convenience I have fitted it with a mains adapter which is supplied with the machine so no need to worry about batteries running down or about mains voltage in a very old machine. Inserting a coin primes the tilt system and releases the five balls into play. It also resets the score dial to zero.

The lower plunger raises the first ball into play And the second fires it into the playfield. Hitting a bumper causes the central light to flash and the skill score dial to advance one notch. See how many points you can score with five balls!

If you nudge or tilt the machine scoring will be stopped until another coin is inserted to start a new game. This is a very rare item made in the 1930s and a great piece of pinball history. Considering it is 80 years old it is in great condition and a real talking point in any room.

A great addition to a man cave. Its approx 82cm long including the plungers and 37cm wide so not as big as a more modern pinball table and easier to accommodate in a room.
