THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS EVERYTHING A Bally "Dixieland" pinball machine from 1968. This is an original and honest example of a rare electro-mechanical coin-operated pin from the 60's. Serial number 2852, it sits right in the middle of the production run of just 1800 and has the original backglass made of glass rather than Perspex. The main features of this game are. Left drop lane with detour gate. Right drop lane fed by gate in mini-bagatelle. Right outlane ball return gate. Lighting "D-I-X-I-E-L-A-N-D" in the backbox scores replay(s) and is a carry-over feature from game to game. Maximum displayed point score is 9,999 points. The Zipper Flippers are especially entertaining and novel in that, when activated, the flippers close together preventing the ball from running off the playfield. It is in good working order with newly replaced rubber bumpers throughout. The general condition is that of a well used pin - the chromed parts are generally rusty and there is some crazing of the artwork on the back panel to be expected on an item nearly 50 years old. There are a few bulbs which are not working; I have spares and can replace them if required but if you are intending on further restoration you may prefer to do this yourself. The "0-9 MATCH UNIT" is partially missing but I may have a spare part in the loft.

Some of the original instructions are available along with alternative scoring cards and "balls per coin" display card. Viewing in person by appointment or I can set up a video conference to show anything specific you may be interested in.

As well as the photos above, I have made a brief video. Watch it in action here. It has been well loved and cared for but retirement means I have to let it go.

Please note this is big and heavy to move and transport. However the legs are easily removed and would then probably fit in a large'estate' vehicle or van. The back box is also removable if required.
