Bally Centaur 2 pinball machine 1983 - Fully Working, Good condition. Great Bally machine, good playfield, has some touch-ups here and there but has been 95% re-mylared now so the artwork is protected, most of the plastics are good, there are a couple of chips on the slingshot plastics which now have protective plastic washers on them, some of the other plastics have chips but this is one fast game so it isn't surprising. The backglass is in good shape with only minor marks, the back of the glass has been protected now so it should'nt deteriorate in years to come. The cabinet is in very good condition for this game. The game plays really good and fast. The rubbers have all been changed, all of the bulbs work. I have fitted a remote battery pack so that battery leakage corrosion to the circuit boards will never be an issue in the future.

There are locks fitted and the machine is set to free play. I have included a photocopied manual.

The machine has been fully PAT tested so is safely earthed and also has had a current leakage test which it passed. It really is a great 80's game with lots of different features and shots to make, it has 3 flippers and features a 5 ball multiball, there is loads to do and the sound and light effects are particularly good, the general illumination all works and flashes as it should, and rarely for a Centaur the electromagnet works and grabs the ball well when the right hand drop targets are all dropped and then the upper right red target is hit.

The sound is brilliant, this game has the original'say it again' board installed with new presets fitted and works great, I like it with just a little bit of reverb so that it just doesn't sound like an over the top noise! This board is basically a similar board to a Boss guitar reverb pedal from the late 70's early 80's for any guitar lovers out there!

The 5 ball multiball is great, and it's chaos when all these appear, I have been playing this game pretty solidly now for a month or so and it is a near keeper, I can play it for hours and that's not the norm I must say. The Centaur 2 only had a limited production run of 1550 and I would think many of these went to the great pinball god in the sky years ago so to find a full worker with a good protected deck that hasn't had all it's paint worn off is rare.

The only point I want to be clear on is that this is a heavy cabinet, the top box will come off but to be honest it's a hefty re-plugging exercise where a lot of plugs have to be put back on boards and looms routed correctly, my advice would be collect the machine complete in a transit van with the legs removed and leave the top box on the machine, when you get home you can just re-assemble by putting the legs on and you're good to go.
